My husband made the satin sheets cocktail last night. This drink is now my all time favorite, even better than a Margarita. We will be making this often. Love silver tequila and the chaser was also wonderful. Had the chaser with my enchilada dinner. Patti thank you for this episode.

Thank YOU so much, Carolina!!

What is “velvet falernum” and can we substitute if we can’t find it? I love margaritas and this recipe sounds like an another yummy drink with similar flavors.
Please, here in Kansas, we long for nice tamales!!!! Nobody makes them good and my tamales taste great but need help getting that nice soft “melt in your mouth” texture that street tamales have!!! Just love them!!
I’m from Mexico City!!! and love your show, only show that cooks like my mother and uses traditional ingredients! Thank you.

Thanks Martha! Derek Brown made that cocktail and he indicated that “velvet falernum” is something you can buy… try your local liquor store?

Martha, Lukas Liquor off of Metcalfe Ave. sells Taylor’s Velvet Falernum–you may have to ask them if they have it in the back, but I got some there a month or so ago.
