I am so thrilled to have been invited to participate in this year's Sips & Suppers. Created and hosted by chef Alice Waters, chef José Andrés, and New York Times food writer Joan Nathan, Sunday & Suppers is a series of intimate dinners happening in private homes all on the same night in Washington DC. Local and guest chefs are paired together to create a (hopefully!) memorable meal to helps raise money to benefit D.C. Central Kitchen and Martha's Table. I will be planning and executing an exciting Mexican menu alongside chef Julian Medina, owner of Toloache restaurant in New York City. Join us!!

Dear Pati, First let me say, what a beautiful name you have! I am in Woodbridge VA. I just found your show on WETA. I saw the 12:30PM show. You made frejoles charros. We have a time share in Mexico & every November we have one week in Playa del Carmen & one week in Cancun. This past November we found a tiny open air restaurant in Playa called El Fagon. I had frejoles charros & they were so delicious!! Thank you for that recipe. I am not fluent in spanish yet, so I could not get the recipe from the restautant, but you gave it to me today! Hola Patty, What a great coincidence that I happened to be doing a dish that you remember from your trips to Mexico on the first show you caught!
